It can be slippery on snow but you need to make sure you have a very smooth surface. It is best to gel coat it after doing all the fiberglass work. Boats have a gel coat on them and they are built from a mold inside out, so the gel coat goes down first then the fiberglass work, then the mold is removed leaving a very smooth outside surface.

They are most likely carbon fiber. Basically the same but stronger and more flexible. Just remember, if it is thin enough and long enough either will flex but regular fiberglass will eventually crack and break. They also might be using a resin that gives it more flexibility than what we use. We use a type of resin that makes it very hard, used mainly on boats. Hope this helps.

ok so some longboard skateboards are crazy flexy and fiber glass what kind of glass is it?

  11. TattooTom69 Says:

It is to a point if it is a very thin wall. Very flexible during application but after the resin is added and it is set up then it is very hard, tough and water proof.

    is fiberglass flexible?
